Sindalah is the luxury island destination at NEOM and the first to welcome paying guests. It opened in October 2024 on a Red Sea island off the NEOM coast. The island is positioned as a destination for yachting, beach holidays, and resort tourism in the eastern Mediterranean and Red Sea cruising circuit.

Three opening hotels
Sindalah’s hospitality programme is anchored by three resort hotels at opening, each operated by an international luxury brand. Together they offer over 400 keys across a mix of suites, villas, and overwater accommodations. Each hotel has its own architectural identity, restaurants, spa, and pool programme.
The marina
The Sindalah marina is built for superyachts. With 86 berths and deepwater anchorage, the marina can accommodate vessels up to 200 metres in length. Adjacent to the marina is a yacht club building, retail concourse, and dining promenade.
The marina positions Sindalah on the eastern Mediterranean and Red Sea yachting circuit, within cruising range of the Mediterranean, the Suez Canal, and the wider Indian Ocean.
Beach club and watersports
The Sindalah Beach Club is built around the natural lagoon on the south side of the island. Programming includes:
- Beachfront cabanas and day beds.
- Watersports including paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing, and waterskiing.
- Diving and snorkelling in the surrounding Red Sea coral reefs, which are among the richest in the world.
- A lagoon swimming pool and adjacent reef snorkel area for novices.
Dining
Sindalah’s restaurant line-up features international chefs and concepts spanning Mediterranean, Asian, and Levantine cuisines. The opening line-up was curated to position the island as a destination for high-end dining within the wider Red Sea hospitality scene.
Wellness and spa
Each Sindalah hotel includes its own spa, with treatments drawing on Arabian traditions, hydrotherapy, and contemporary wellness programming. The island also offers fitness facilities, yoga and pilates studios, and a wellness pavilion with longevity-focused programming.
How to visit
Access to Sindalah is by yacht to the marina, helicopter to the dedicated helipad, or shuttle from NEOM Bay. Bookings are made directly through the operating hotels or through luxury travel intermediaries. Day visits are available for yacht passengers and resort guests.
Why Sindalah matters for NEOM
Sindalah is significant because it is the first NEOM destination to operate commercially. It serves as a proof point for NEOM’s destination delivery, an asset earning revenue, and a guest-facing showcase of NEOM’s hospitality standards. The performance of Sindalah is closely watched as an indicator for the broader NEOM hospitality portfolio.
